Buttercream Basics is a beginner class perfect for anyone new to cake decorating. Students learn how to ice cakes smooth and simple piping techniques like stars and shells.
Beyond Buttercream Basics is for students comfortable with icing a cake smooth and are ready to learn more advanced piping techniques like basketweave, rope borders, stringwork, and some flowers.
Introduction to Rolled Fondant is a for those with no experience working with rolled fondant. Students learn how to handle, tint, and shape fondant as well as how to cover a cake and add simple fondant decorations to it.
More Fun with Rolled Fondant is the class for those who enjoyed Introduction to Rolled Fondant or already have some experience working with rolled fondant and want to learn more. This class covers how to make bows, ribbons, swags, and simple leaves and flowers.
Classy Cookies and Cupcakes covers how to decorate professional-looking cookies or cupcakes for any occasion using buttercream and rolled fondant. Students need to bring in one dozen plain, uniced cupcakes or one dozen sugar cookies to decorate. If decorating cookies, please also bring in the cutters used to make them.
Classy Treat Pops is for fans of those popular cake pops. Treat pops are like cake pops, only they’re made from rice cereal treat mixture. In this class students learn how to roll, shape, dip, and decorate treat pops.
Open Studio: Bring your own cake, cupcakes, or cookies to decorate however you want. I will be available to offer guidance, as well as have supplies and tools for students to use to decorate their treats. Cakes should be iced and ready to decorate, cookies and cupcakes should be plain with no icing. If decorating cookies, please also bring the cutters used to make them.
