Cakes Decorated Using Pattern Transfers

As some of you may already know, the Tennessee ICES Chapter hosts Sugar Play Days every other month. These are free cake decorating classes/demonstrations in Brentwood at Sugar Drop. At the April meeting, we learned how to model figures out of rolled fondant (generously provided by Fondarific), which was fun. Well, I guess it IS January. Happy New Year everybody!

The weather where I live is bitterly cold at the moment, with record-low temperatures and crazy wind chills. This means I’ve been staying indoors as much as possible because I hate the cold, which gives me an opportunity to update my blog, and since the last post was about my new iPad, I thought I’d share some of the cake decorating videos I’ve made with it–if only to prove that I’m now using it for more than playing games. iPad AirIt’s one of the new iPad Airs. I actually had the money to buy one in October but was advised to wait until Apple came out with the next generation or whatever, so I did. I got mine on November 1st from the local Apple Store, and I’ve spent the past 5 weeks or so playing My Singing Monsters and Clash of Clans on a big screen. Which is awesome. Continue reading »

I honestly meant to post a “Should’ve Done Sunday” yesterday, but I found myself vacuuming the house instead. There was also a bit of laundry that needed doing, and some other random chores that I couldn’t put off any longer. But at least the weather was gorgeous, and it was slightly cooler less sweltering yesterday with a nice breeze, so I even managed to open a window or two and let the house air out a bit.
